The pandemic has locked kids indoors. It has been difficult to meet anyone while hanging out with friends has become a luxury. This digitaljollification was organised and conducted by Fundoodaa Books to cheer kids and invoke their hidden talents. Over 100 kids joined us from various parts of the country and had a great time!
A quick tour into the events for you-
Readathon Week & Quiz Contest:
During this week, we selected stories from our Fundoodaa Books Digital Library for children to read and participate in the quiz conducted on 6th November 2021.
Storytelling Sessions:
The sessions were held for three days from 12th to 14th November 2021.
On 12th Nov, storyteller Meera Warrier narrated a cute little story about Kutti Tenali who helped his friend’s father with an intelligent idea. She is a storyteller who has travelled far and wide in search of stories to fill up the Treasure Chest. On 13th November, we had a wonderful storytelling session with Arti Anand. She is the voice of Art’s Tales. She brings together the love of books, children, music and art. Over a hundred kids attended this interactive session.
During this session, Arti narrated the story of Rangana- a story about an elephant who loved to paint her nails, Ravana’s Holiday followed by the story of Not so Hungry Caterpillar in an artistic way.

On 14th November, we celebrated Children’s Day with a big bang and launched the HAPPY song. Kids joined in and sang along taking the celebration to a whole new level. Thanks to Deeksha and Lucy for bringing the vibrant energy into this session, involving all the kids and engaging with a smiley craft activity.
Heart to Art:
The Heart to Art sessions was the icing on the cake. It was held for three days from 19th to 21st November.
On 19th November, Ashwini from Colour Factory conducted a live Art session for the kids. The kids loved it and they learnt simple tricks to create beautiful artwork. You will find the artwork on our Facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/FunDooDaaBooks
On 20th, we had a fun ‘Splash Attack’ with Taran – Illustrator and Designer, who has been associated with Fundoodaa books. You can see his wonderful illustrations and art in for our stories. In this session, he taught how a simple splash can turn into a beautiful masterpiece.
On 21stof Dec, we conducted the Heart to Art contest on the theme ‘What makes you Happy?’, It was difficult to choose from an overwhelming pool of talented entries.
The grand finale was held on 27th November. The kids showcased their talents in Music, Singing, Art, Storytelling and more. It was amazing to be a part of the best ever Virtual Festival exclusive for Children, conducted by Fundoodaa Books!
